When I say fast, that is exactly what I mean. I have 28-inch long, thick, curly hair. That's a lot. Diffusing my hair took me five minutes. This is an amazing tool when it is colder and I don’t want my hair to air dry for half the days. A blowout took me just 20 minutes. I am sure it would have been quicker if I was more skilled at blowouts.

Magnetic attachments are a great option. I've had to drop my hairdryer several times and break the diffuser part. Sometimes, the threaded part of an attachment can become loose and not attach. I recall specifically ducttaping one of the attachments to my old dryer. That didn't work. With the Dyson magnet attachments, these things won't be possible. Attachments for all of life!
In recent times, having a great hair dryer was a necessity instead of a wish.

I've owned the dryer for 4+years and never cleaned the filter. Oops. Dyson recommends cleaning it every other month. Wipe the outer cage or inner filter with a soft and dry cloth.

There are barrels for curling and wave making it easier to style your hair. You can also use brushes to smoothen or volumize your hair.

The diffuser attachment was then useless. Sometimes, the attachment's screw-in end becomes threadbare and doesn't attach anymore. I can remember how I duct taped an attachment to my old hairdryer. This did not work. These things won't happen with Dyson magnetic attachements. Attachments are for the whole family, it's attachments that last.
I wash my hair at least twice a week. Sometimes, I'll let it air dry my hair but most of the times I'll blow it out. My hair is long, thick, curly and wavy. This allows me to dry it straight and diffuse it for fun waves.

To dry your hair, you should use the diffuser to gather your hair and then press it to your scalp. Dyson has made a series videos that will help you use your hair dryer if you are unsure (as I was).

I use the Styling Contolator nine times out ten. But, my hair is naturally wavy so the diffuser helps to define my curls and prevent them from getting frizzy.
